Native River

Located south of Liverpool in the congested “Mersey Ring,” Native River is one of the UK’s longest-duration transmission-connected battery installations. It became fully operational in April 2025, delivering grid-balancing services like frequency regulation, reserve capacity, and load shifting to support renewable energy integration.
